Bishop T.D. Jakes, 67, had what his church described as a "slight health incident" during a sermon Sunday.
The megachurch celebrity pastor was seen to pause his sermon and shake as people approached him on stage in footage posted to social media.
The Potter's House Church, the nondenominational Christian church in Dallas, Texas led by Jakes where he was preaching Sunday, released a statement on Jakes' official X account saying that he received "immediate medical attention" after the sermon.
"Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals," the statement said.
Jakes appeared in an Instagram post promoting the service before it began at 9 a.m. CT.
USA TODAY reached out to The Potter's House Sunday for further information and did not immediately receive a response.
The church was founded in 1996 and has over 30,000 members, according to its website.
This is a developing story that may be updated with further information.
