In a bold move to drive voter turnout in Pennsylvania, billionaire Elon Musk is offering registered voters in the state $100 to sign a petition supporting free speech and Second Amendment rights.

The offer, part of Musk's efforts to boost Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, is intended to encourage support in one of the most critical battleground states in the upcoming election.

Musk, the owner of Tesla and social media platform X (formerly Twitter), has been actively promoting Trump in recent weeks, holding rallies and launching a political action committee (PAC) to help fund the campaign.

Pennsylvania, with its 19 electoral votes, is seen as a key state that could determine the outcome of the election.

Musk's Financial Push for Trump's Success

The initiative, announced by Musk on his own social media platform, offers a financial incentive to voters who align with Trump's campaign.

"If you're a registered Pennsylvania voter, you and whoever referred you will now get $100 for signing our petition in support of free speech and the right to bear arms," Musk posted.

The offer is valid until midnight on Monday, giving voters a few days to act.

This isn't Musk's first attempt at using monetary rewards to engage voters. Earlier this year, his America PAC offered voters in swing states $47-a nod to Trump potentially becoming the 47th president.

Filings show that Musk has already contributed $75 million to his PAC for the final stretch of the campaign.

On Thursday night, Musk kicked off his latest campaign push with a town hall in Folsom, Pennsylvania, where he emphasized the importance of the state in determining the election's outcome.

"This election will decide the fate of America," Musk told the crowd. "And along with America, the fate of Western civilization." He stressed that Pennsylvania could be the deciding factor in the race for the White House.

Pennsylvania's Critical Role in the 2024 Election

Pennsylvania is expected to be one of the most fiercely contested states in the 2024 election.

Recent polls show Trump and Kamala Harris running neck-and-neck, with each candidate securing 47% of the vote if the election were held today.

With the race so close, Musk underscored the importance of every vote, saying, "This election could be decided by as few as 10,000 votes, or even fewer. Every single person who turns out to vote could make a difference."

Trump is also focusing heavily on Pennsylvania, with plans to hold a major rally outside Pittsburgh on Saturday.

The Republican Party has made gains in voter registration in recent years, putting more pressure on the Democrats, who have traditionally held an advantage in the state.

Musk's involvement in the 2024 election, particularly his efforts to energize voters in Pennsylvania, marks a significant moment in the campaign.
