GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Polls have closed in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. FOX Carolina is following live updates and results on Election Night 2024.

Below is a breakdown of the major races we’re following on election night:

2024 Presidential Election

AP is projecting that Donald Trump will win South Carolina.

Initial polling data from multiple sources suggests a tight race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Battleground states like North Carolina and Georgia will be key to deciding the outcome of the election.

U.S. House - South Carolina District 3

Republican Sheri Biggs has won the race against Democratic challenger Bryon Best for the congressional seat.

U.S. House - South Carolina District 4

Incumbent Republican William Timmons is seeking reelection. He faces Democratic challenger Kathryn Harvey.

SC and NC Constitutional Amendments

South Carolina and North Carolina voters will decide if the state constitutions should be amended to say only a U.S. Citizen who is qualified to vote may vote in an election.

Local Ballot Questions

In Greenville County, voters will decide the fate of the controversial 1% sales tax increase to repair county roads.

Greenwood County voters will also consider a capital projects sales taxes. Anderson County voters will consider a transportation sales tax and bond measure.

Union County voters will determine whether or not they want to allow alcohol sales on Sundays.

NC Gubernatorial Race

Current Republican Lt. Governor Mark Robinson faces Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein in the race for North Carolina Governor. The winner of the election will take over for Governor Roy Cooper, who is facing his term limit.

North Carolina voters will also decide Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and more. One Supreme Court seat is on the ballot along with three Court of Appeals seats.
