Homes damaged, trees down as storms sweep through Oklahoma counties

The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management reported property damage and environmental damage from severe weather the past weekend.

According to ODEM, a State of Emergency is in effect for Cleveland, Garvin, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Stephens Counties.

The Cherokee County Emergency Management has reported damage and multiple large pine trees down in Welling.

Hominy Emergency Management reported flooding over roadways in numerous areas.

Wagoner County Emergency Management has reported damage to four structures and power poles and electrical lines down.

From Westville Emergency Management, at least two homes have reported damage.

The American Red Cross has one overnight shelter open for residents displaced or without power. It is located at the Choctaw Elementary School at 14663 NE 3rd Street.

There are two shelter sites open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. One is located at the Grand Casino Event Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and the other is located at the Kickapoo Community Resource and Recovery Center in McCloud, Oklahoma.
