LINES, TRAFFIC SIGNS ARE BROKEN. HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF A DEBRIS SIGNATURE ON DAMON. I THINK WE’RE GETTING A TORNADO. I THINK WE’RE GETTING A TORNADO RIGHT NOW. THAT WAS METEOROLOGIST MICHAEL ARMSTRONG ON AIR AS A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN SOUTHEAST OKC LAST NIGHT. OUR KOCO CREWS IN A NEIGHBORHOOD OFF OF SOUTH SUMNER ROAD JUST AFTER THOSE STORMS HIT, CAPTURING SOME SHOTS OF HEAVILY DAMAGED HOMES. ONE OF THOSE HOMES HAD A CAR FLIPPED IN THE FRONT YARD, AND THE ROOF AND GARAGE DOOR WAS DAMAGED. THEN THIS OTHER HOUSE HAD ITS ENTIRE ROOF RIPPED OFF THERE. OUR CREWS HAVE BEEN GIVING YOU THE FIRST ALERT ALL NIGHT LONG AND INTO THE MORNING. KOCO DAKOTA PAPAKEECHIE REPORTS FROM DEVASTATING DAMAGE NEAR I-240 AND SOONER ROAD. YEAH, WE’RE SEEING A LOT OF DAMAGE HERE. LOOK TO THE LEFT. HERE YOU CAN SEE THIS HOUSE. IT’S ACTUALLY MISSING ITS ROOF. YOU CAN SEE THE TREES ON THE GROUND THERE. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT HERE TO THE RIGHT. THERE’S ACTUALLY A CAR THAT’S FLIPPED OVER INTO THIS PERSON’S YARD. THERE’S A LOT OF DAMAGE HERE. PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO LOOK AROUND AND SEE IF EVERYBODY’S OKAY SURVEYING WHAT’S GOING ON HERE. AND THERE’S STILL SO MUCH WE HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO SEE. YOU KNOW, A LOT OF THESE STREETS JUST HAVE A LOT OF DAMAGE. THEY’RE BLOCKED OFF. WE’RE HAVING TO GO ON FOOT FROM HERE, BUT THERE’S STILL A LOT OF SIRENS TO THE LEFT HERE THAT WE HAVEN’T STILL SEEN. People who live in the neighborhood are working to see if everyone is alright and are surveying the damage.

A tornado hit the Oklahoma City metro early Sunday morning, leaving behind a lot of damage in a nearby neighborhood as well as close to the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. KOCO 5's Dacoda Wahpekeche found some homes in a neighborhood near I-240 and Sooner Road with extensive damage as well as a car that had flipped over and parts of trees on the ground. People who live in the neighborhood are working to see if everyone is alright and are surveying the damage.
