Saturday Night Live‘s had some final pre-election thoughts on Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally last week, his garbage truck photo op, and more.
“Well, next week America will decide if the next president is Kamala Harris, or if everyone at SNL will get audited,” co-anchor Colin Jost joked, in light of Harris making a cameo during that night’s cold open.
Jost then mocked Trump’s garbage truck photo op, where he was seen looking especially orange while wearing a matching safety vest.
“Trump, seen here being rescued after 30 days in a lifeboat, gave a press conference from inside a garbage truck with his name on it. And my favorite part was when he tried to open the door of the truck but missed,” Jost said, cracking up as video of that clumsy mishap played. “My God, he looks as drunk as I’m gonna be Tuesday night.”
“Then later at a rally, Trump said he would protect women whether the women like it or not,” Jost continued. “For example, he’s going to make everyone who is a danger to women wear an orange vest.”
After Jost addressed Trump’s odd, suggestive interaction with a microphone at that same rally, co-anchor Michael Che turned the racist insults spewed at the GOP nominee’s Madison Square Garden rally last weekend.

“Speakers hurled insults at minority groups, used Nazi rhetoric, and suggested that Democrats should be slaughtered. But this lady has a weird laugh, so I still can’t decide,” he joked as a photograph of Kamala Harris showed on screen.
“Donald Trump defended himself from claims that he’s a fascist, saying, ‘I am the opposite of a Nazi,'” Che continued. “Yeah, but opposites attract, so…”
