Speakers used racist insults at Donald Trump’s rally in New York last night.

One example: Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico an “island of garbage.” It sparked outrage, and came moments before Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny endorsed Kamala Harris.

In related news: JD Vance defended Trump’s vow to use the U.S. military against some Americans. And, at Trump’s events, vulgar T-shirts insulting Harris are in demand.

Harris is stepping up her attacks on Trump’s age and competence.

How? She’sechoing some of the taunts Trump used to direct at President Joe Biden. During a visit to Philadelphia yesterday, she launched a new ad called “Philly vs. Trump.”

Zooming out: The presidential polls have continued to tighten. We asked Trump and Harris supporters how they would handle defeat — the contrasts were illuminating.

Elon Musk denied having worked in the U.S. illegally.

Why? It followed a Post report that said Musk lacked the legal status to build a start-up in the 1990s. Biden used the report to attack the billionaire, who is campaigning for Trump.

What else to know: Other billionaires are staying quiet on Trump. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos decided The Post, which he owns, will no longer endorse presidential candidates.

Israel hit military targets in Iran on Saturday.

What happened? The attack targeted Iranian missile capabilities and achieved “all its objectives,” Israel said. Israeli and Iranian officials described the strikes as limited.

The bigger picture: Iran and Israel have long fought a shadow war in the Middle East. But, since April, both countries have launched direct strikes on each other’s territory.
