DETROIT, MI — On perhaps the most active day of the most active presidential campaign cycle in the state’s history, MLive on Friday, Oct. 18, boarded the press motor pool to follow former President Donald Trump’s 3-stop trip across southeast Michigan.
There, with 18 days until the Nov. 5 election, the 2024 Republican nominee for president traveled 100 miles, from Romulus to Hamtramck to Auburn Hills to Detroit and then back again to Romulus. In between the time Trump Force One landed and took off, the campaign spent nearly eight hours in the critical swing state.
