Elon Musk donated nearly $75 million to a super PAC backing Donald Trump from July to September, according to a new filing out Tuesday.

The world's richest person, Musk helped create the pro-Trump America PAC "to support candidates who believe in the core values of America," he said in a post on X. The PAC is also offering $47 to registered voters in swing states who sign a petition in support of the Constitution.

Musk has become a growing ally to Trump, amplifying his messages on X, appearing at a rally and trying to mobilize the base with cash payments. Trump has promised Musk a leadership role in his administration if he wins the election.

Musk was outpaced in donations by casino fortune heir Miriam Adelson, who donated $95 million via the Preserve America PAC, an FEC filing for the same time frame ending Sept. 30 shows.
