Former president Donald Trump campaigned in Michigan, where he is seeking to court autoworkers. Vice President Kamala Harris visited the U.S.-Mexico border near Douglas, Ariz., to discuss how she would handle immigration if elected. Earlier in the day, Trump, who has been deeply skeptical of U.S. involvement in Ukraine, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York. Speaking to reporters with Zelensky by his side, Trump suggested that he would seek to broker an end to the war with Russia and said he has a “very good relationship” with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Harris met with Zelensky in Washington on Thursday and vowed to continue supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s invasion.
