NORTH ATTLEBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Emergency crews raced to a once-in-a-lifetime call on Sunday after eight bulls escaped from a rodeo at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro and went trotting down the street.
Seven have been rounded up, with officials still looking for the eighth.
Video from the front of porch of a nearby home shows the bulls trotting down the street shortly after their daring escape around 12:30 p.m.. Fire officials say the bulls were part of the rodeo when they suddenly decided to make a run for it. One was quickly captured, the other seven went on a wild romp through the community.
A video shared by a driver who was in the area at the time shows the bulls gathered on the side of the roadway.
About four hours after they broke free, six bulls were found stuck behind a fence at a home on Prescott Street in Attleboro. North Attleboro Fire, North Attleboro Police, Attleboro Police and members from the rodeo at the mall and New England Rodeo were able to safely corral the bulls into a trailer without further incident.
Officials say the eighth bull shouldn’t be considered a threat to the community but if you see it, don’t take it upon yourself to approach it, just call 911.
There were no reported injuries. The rodeo, a one-day event at the mall, is currently under investigation.
